Our Team

Clinical Director

Dr. Sundeep S. Thinda is a Registered Clinical Psychologist who has been providing psychological treatment and assessment services in the Vancouver Lower Mainland in English, Punjabi, and Hindi since 2004. Dr. Thinda is qualified in the Provincial and Supreme Courts of BC as an expert in Clinical and Rehabilitation Psychology. He has also been an adjunct instructor in the Psychology Department at Kwantlen Polytechnic University for over a decade. He has presented extensively on topics related to clinical and rehabilitation psychology including cultural considerations in rehabilitation.

In addition to his role as the clinical director of life balance, Dr. Thinda is a clinician with our team. He has specialized knowledge in automotive/driving anxiety, complex PTSD and mood disorders, adjustment to acquired physical disability, pain management, and other common issues related to clinical and rehabilitation psychology such as anxiety and mood disorder conditions.

Dr. Thinda is passionate about psychology and mental health, but concerned with the current state of mental health treatment in British Columbia, Canada, and beyond. Being a front-line psychologist his entire career, he is acutely aware of the mental health needs of BC including the groups that are both under-served and under-represented and do not have access to programs where treatment is central. He has developed and launched this rehabilitation program specifically in response to the need for evidence based mental health treatment options that are not included in the current status quo.

In creating a psychological group therapy model with practical components built into the design, the view is towards providing our clients the most optimal psychological treatment in a non-intimidating compassionate environment.

All aspects of the program have been designed with the client at the heart of what really matters. Removing what is not vital around mental health improvement, our hope is to spend time and energy on the activities that help people return to their important life areas.

Our People

All clinicians and group leaders are a team and operate from the same mission: Improving the mental health and wellness of our clients.

We do not advertise employment opportunities. All of the clinicians and other professionals operating through our organization are invited to join us. They are fairly compensated at the accepted rates for their professional designation and education. This helps us in building a robust and forward thinking company culture.  We believe happy and healthy people are better able to help others.

Our current treatment team is comprised of a small group of clinicians, yoga, fitness, and driving instructors who understand the lifebalance approach. We directly seek out and recruit individuals who we believe have the required knowledge, experience, and expertise to do a good job, and individuals whose thinking is consistent with our philosophy. We are always delighted when we gain a new clinician or professional to work with us because we know they believe in our approach.

Doctoral therapists provide group therapy for all of our Clinical Diagnosis groups, including the Driving Anxiety group.

Doctoral or Masters level therapists provide group therapy for our Life Solutions groups.

Our yoga, fitness, and driving professionals have the added benefit of education and knowledge in mental health and how the three components of our program complement each other.

Current groups listed in the registration section will identify the team clinician that is leading the group.
